When it comes to using this carrying basket, it really holds a lot of stuff. Our last basket that we have not only broke in the middle of driving but caused an accident because all of our stuff fell out of it. With this basket, we have taken it on too many trips to count and not only is it a solid basket but when we load everything inside, nothing moves or falls out. Attaching this to our hitch was really easy to do. Even while we're driving, this thing doesn't move or rock back and forth. We've been able to load luggage, bikes, scooters, sports equipment and were even able to help a family member move. Whether we use bungee cords or actually straps, this thing holds everything safe and securely. Very well crafted and even if it gets wet or muddy, it still holds everything and is easy to hose and wash clean. Sturdy construction and am very impressed that it wasn't made of cheap quality materials either.Easy to assemble but the instructions were not as clear as they could have been but very easy to figure out. Easy to use. Only thing I really didn't like was how loose it was in the receiver. Lots of free play. 4.5 stars would be a better raiting than 4. The excessive free play in the receiver keeps me from giving it a 5 star rating.1) This thing is a beast! 70+ lbs and my vehicle only has 360 lb tongue weight capacity, so I'm not pushing the 500 lb max. Make sure you stretch/limber up if mounting this yourself to your vehicle!2) In my searches I really appreciated the internal width of the cage, the high rails, and the beefy construction as I'm using the product to haul my lawn mower/gas to our campsite over a long distance.3) I have a 45 minute drive each way to camp via the Interstate and windy backroads. I didn't even register this was on the van, unless I looked in the rear view mirror.4) On the printed directions, it would be nice if the "circle" views that are supposed to show the screw orientations/placement in more detail were bigger. Hard to discern with old eyes. I used the help video from the Amazon site, pausing where needed. That was extremely helpful.This an amazing cargo carrier basket! My husband was easily able to assemble the basket by himself. We also purchased the stabilizer and the cargo carrier bag. We loved the higher sides, the fact that it easily folded when not in use, and that it held a lot of suitcases and gear! We traveled from Kansas to Wyoming to South Dakota and back home again and it held up great! We will be using this cargo carrier basket on future trips and to get children to/from college with all their belongings. We had researched several different brands before settling on this one. We definitely made the right choice!Worth every penny. Heavy gauge material throughout.The carrier is sturdy and it allows you to place a large waterproof cargo bag to protect your gear. Lastly, if you just want to put gear I to the carrier without the bag, the sides are tall enough to keep your fear secure.Really strong and no problems at all with weight or assembly.
