This is a really nice starter hat for kids since its excellent quality but not too expensive. Its well shaped and is sized properly. A little stiff at first but just give your head a chance to train it. This means it may be stiff for a few days of wear. Kind of like a good pair of boots when you first get them. Good water-repellency and the color doesn't bleed. Buckle is pretty cheap but easy to replace if you're so inclined. My son wears this hat all the time and loves it.
