Yes...it was folded flat. I opened it and placed two large paper kitchen towel rolls at each oval end. I placed small towels in between to keep the pressure at the oval ends. I shaped it to look exactly like the picture. Then I sprayed it all around with fabric stiffener. After 24 hours it was completely oval like the picture and very firm due to the fabric stiffener. They look really nice. It looks like they are well made. I still can't rate them on durability because I just received them.
